Little Creek Casino Resort – Phase 2

This addition to the Squaxin Island Tribe’s gaming and hospitality complex was a $23 million design-build project including a 5-story 115,000 square foot hotel tower, nightclub, restaurant, indoor pool, exercise room, Skookum Creek Event Center, and an extensive covered walkway system connecting the hotel with the events center.  The structure is composed of 102 rooms and suites, doubling the property’s capacity. This project was a critical step in making Little Creek Casino a resort destination in Western Washington. The hotel is composed of birch peeler poles, wood flooring and wall covering, natural stone walls, an extensive glass curtain wall system and Native artifacts throughout.

Construction of the Skookum Creek Event Center was also a part of this project. The state-of-the-art structure includes a large stage, and a full backstage area with a green room, skyboxes, dressing rooms and showers. The exclusive skyboxes provide private viewing for 12-16 people who have access to private restrooms and cash bar.

Our team was working to construct this project immediately adjacent to Tower I, which was operational throughout construction. To minimize impacts, our crews worked during off-peak hours and scheduled construction around major events at the existing facility.

Everyone – from the heads of funding agencies to tribal members who found meaningful work and sometimes careers on Korsmo-led projects – will testify to Korsmo’s professionalism, fairness and abilities.
