Korsmo Construction was the design-builder for the new Discovery Park Pavilion in the Tehaleh master-planned community in Bonney Lake. The facility serves as an indoor/outdoor gathering space and event venue for the community and public use.
The building is a barn-like structure with exposed timber trusses and columns and clerestory dormers for added light. The indoor area offers indoor event space with a large banquet room, two meeting rooms, a catering kitchen, and two restrooms. The building opens to a 3,500-square-foot covered outdoor gathering area and includes additional exit doors, two sliding barn doors, and one bi-parting barn door. These additions allow the outdoor space to remain unheated while protecting guests from the elements
