Nisqually Red Wind Casino Expansion

As part of a multi-phase project to expand the Nisqually Indian Tribe’s Red Wind Casino, Korsmo Construction recently completed the addition of a new smoke-free gaming building that offers expanded gaming options to guests.

The two-story, 40,000 square foot smoke-free wing includes 27,000 square feet of additional gaming space and approximately 600 new slot machines and table games. A new deli, bar, gift shop, ice cream and espresso bar and additional administrative space complete the building expansion. The building’s design features a unique curved exterior with a cultured stone façade, distinctive interior columns, 22-foot high ceilings, custom native artwork and ambient lighting.

“The most rewarding thing for me is that we have a happy client, and that we met our main objectives: finishing the project on budget and on schedule, while minimizing our impact on the casino’s ongoing operations” said Mike Campeau, Korsmo’s Project Manager on the Red Wind Casino expansion project.

We have particularly benefited from their approach in facing the challenges associated with maintaining safety and preservation of the gaming operation during on site construction in areas within close proximity to our current gaming operation, minimizing impacts and disruptions.
