Korsmo Construction transformed a functional but outdated fire station into an 18,000-square-foot modern firefighting facility at Lakewood’s largest fire station. Work included converting open-bay living facilities into a modern commercial kitchen and individual sleeping rooms for on-duty firefighters.
The existing training space was divided and modernized into multiple classrooms to accommodate small and large groups. Upgrades also included interior and exterior painting. Materials included concrete foundation with metal stud framing and aluminum storefront windows.
The modernization will keep the fire station on the front line of community protection for many years to come
