As part of a multi-phase project to expand the Nisqually Indian Tribe’s Red Wind Casino, Korsmo Construction recently completed the addition of a new smoke-free gaming building that offers expanded gaming options to guests.
The two-story, 40,000 square foot smoke-free wing includes 27,000 square feet of additional gaming space and approximately 600 new slot machines and table games. A new deli, bar, gift shop, ice cream and espresso bar and additional administrative space complete the building expansion. The building’s design features a unique curved exterior with a cultured stone façade, distinctive interior columns, 22-foot high ceilings, custom native artwork and ambient lighting.
“The most rewarding thing for me is that we have a happy client, and that we met our main objectives: finishing the project on budget and on schedule, while minimizing our impact on the casino’s ongoing operations” said Mike Campeau, Korsmo’s Project Manager on the Red Wind Casino expansion project.
