The Tacoma Rainiers administrative offices at Cheney Stadium were occupying ideal space behind home plate with optimal views of the ballfield. The Tacoma Rainiers organization wanted to increase revenue by using the office spaces as rentable party suites.
The Rainiers presented a challenge in that they wanted the space to maintain its original function as administrative offices, while offering a club suite experience to guests. The project was also on a conservative budget with a tight schedule.
Korsmo Construction worked with Ferguson Architecture to create a new venue for private groups of 40 to 150 guests and administrative offices. The Multicare 1882 Club offers private interior and exterior seating with premium views of the Rainiers ballfield, a shared bar and buffet, and entertainment space. Roll-up doors to the exterior deck open the space to provide indoor/outdoor game-day excitement and temperature control.
