Korsmo Construction wrapped up a busy 2015 with zero Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable incidents over the course of 150,000 man hours worked throughout the year. This milestone was accomplished through the addition of a full-time Site Safety Manager who visits all jobsites on a weekly basis, OSHA 30 training of all supervisors and a recently improved Job Hazard Analysis program. Korsmo has been a proud member of the AGC Safety Team since 1991.
According to Korsmo Safety Director, Don Coovert, “This achievement is the result of a company wide effort to improve our safety attitudes, processes and behaviors. It has been exciting to see our culture evolve from safety being a priority to becoming a value. We have been striving to make the safety of our employees a personal and intentional part of everyone’s workday and I think that shows in the results we are currently celebrating.”
