Stillaguamish River Rock C-Store and Fuel Station

This design-build project was a collaborative effort between the Stillaguamish Tribe, Korsmo Construction and Womer and Associates Architects. Preconstruction services included cost estimating, scheduling, infrastructure development, subcontractor selection, code compliance and permitting. Site work included extensive export of 21,000 cubic yards of unsuitable soils and import of over 16,000 cubic yards of fill.

The project consists of a wood framed convenience store building with a unique, custom-shaped fuel canopy designed to align with entrance and exit points to the site. Korsmo Construction worked closely with the owner and design team on layout of sales counters, a full deli, coolers and other retail features.

Their good temperament and willingness to work together as a team made it easy to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. That combined with their construction knowledge, and their proactive approach in providing reasonable solutions added value to the project by maintaining schedule, budget and the overall design intent.
